LCM and Costing

I had previously been told that lot-based costing was not supported, but that's not true. R12 OPM Costing supports this costing method (see maual E13655-04).

My question is if LCM only supports average or standard costing, what is the impact or what is the process if I'm setup on lot-based costing? What happens with estimates and actuals, including the associated journals?
