Upgrading from release 11i to release 12...Subledger Accounting

Hi

We are upgrading from 11i to 12. My question is regarding the new feature called Subledger accounting.   Based on my understanding the new feature SLA in release 12 is replaces the Global Accounting Engine.   We are not currently using the Global Accounting engine in 11i.   Is it recommended to run the following as part of the Pre upgrade tasks?  Does any one have the same scenario as me?   Currently in 11i I use the GL, MRC, Payables, Assets that have accounting records.

Step 1 Run Accounting Setup Manager Diagnosis for MRC (optional)
