select returns 0 record for userA but not for system user?

hello all,
I'm new to oracle. I have created a user A with select privilege on a view. A simple query "select * from schemaA.viewA" returns 0 record. But same query returns 1000 record for system user. Why no data returned for user A? Please advise, urgent!
