Can the length on the 1099 recipient form be changed to 40 characters? Many of our names and mailin

Question:  On the 1099 form the length of the payee name and mailing address and the payer name and mailing address is 30 characters. The length in Address Book is 40 characters. Can the length on the 1099 recipient form be changed to 40 characters?  Many of our names and some addresses are being cut off on the printed 1099 forms.

Answer:  Yes, the 2010 1099 Software Update provides a processing option in the Write Media program (P04515) that allows you to change the character font that the system uses to print the mailing name and mailing address on the 1099 recipient laser and preprinted forms to accomodate 40 characters
