Prorate date and Date of service

 Hi

I am confused for prorate date and date of service?I am going to add new asset from the legacy system manually on 30june2011.The detail are given below:

Fiscal year: Jan to Dec(12months)
Prorate calender: Jan to Dec(Monthly basis)
Today date : 2nd September 2011
Asset cost : Rs. 230000
Life: 5 year
Date of purchase: 1 April 2009
Dep. method: Straight line
Accumulated depreciation as on 30june 2011: Rs. 103500

What will be the prorate date and date of service?Is depreciation will be calculate from Jan2011?
