Grants Accounting - unable to extend the task end date after award end date and project end date are

Hi,

We are on R12.0.4 for Oracle Grants Accounting and overal Financials, but on R12.0.8 on Oracle HRMS.

Business needs to extend the task end date of a project. The funding award of the project has been extended, so has the project end date.  When we tried to extend the task end date (or Trans Finish Date), the system throws an error message "Budget end date is greater than Task end date".  This literally prevents us to extend the task end date.  Also, the budget line end date is NOT actually greater than the Task end date.   I've logged an SR for this, but it is not making too much progress at the time.
