Formatting is changed when I enter parameter using Standard date from DD-MON-YYYY after hitting subm

When I submit a concurrent request and have a parameter using Standard Date i enter 01-JAN-2011 and hit submit but then the concurrent request formats the paramter to 2011/01/01 00:00:00.

This value set is using Standard Date in R12 with a formating size of 11 does anyone know how to fix this?
