Forecasting in R12.04

Has anyone had success with forecasting in R12?  I can get plenty of forecasts generated, but the data relevance is questionable at best when compared to historical data.  This holds tru for both focus and statistical forecast results I have been able to obtain.  I have manipulated the Alpha and beta smoothing factors every way imaginable, but the data relevance when compared to historical is not good.

Anyone have any suggestions?
