Project Management - Financial plan

Hi,     As per my understanding of project management module, we can create seperate task structures for financial and workplan. So if I create tasks in financial structure which are completely different from workplan, I able to create financial transactions for those tasks. But how I can get the status of my financial task. I only see progress comments and percent complete fileds in the percent complete tab of finanacial tab. So how i can get the other details for the financial tasks? Are the expenditure related information is the only transactions for financial tasks? Is there any assignment of resources for financial tasks
