special character at end of chinese text - only visible when using certain tools
Hi all,
I do have an issue with some text from a varchar2 field that has slightly different content depending on the tools I use.
For example, if I use SQL Developr the simple select statement on this field returns 装机时无备用电池
Using a different database management tool (for Oracle only...) it returns the same including an unidentifiable character which isn't even recognized by my firefox :-(
MS Access via ODBC indicates that there is indeed some character there, even though it gives me the famous "square".
My stored procedure that exports this information into an XML file also has a strange character/code included.
