Using locator controlled subinventories for Depot Repair WIP job (material and repair part material

Anyone out there using locator controlled subs for WIP execution from Depot Repair?  I am not very familiar with WIP functionality, but it appears that the item or bom Supply Type must be set to Operation Pull instead of Push (our mfg process/setup requires Push).  If I set the item to Operation Pull, then the locator seems to work OK - still a couple of minor issues (again can't change the item because of mfg requirements or so I am told).  We only use the WIP job in Depot Repair for the material issue...we do not use a bom to drive
