Oracle RAC One Node for Active Passive HA solution.

 Hi,
One of our clients want to implement Oracle Database 11g R2 High Availability architecture using Active Passive solution without using Oracle RAC. They want to have 2 servers for this purpose. The solution will be built on RH Linux platform. We have 2 options:
  1. Implement HA using RH Linux Cluster Suite in Active Passive env with Oracle Database 11g. In this scenario when the Active Node fails the Cluster package will move the Database to the Passive Node. The HA is provided by RH Linux Cluster Suite. (We have implemented many this type of solution in HP using Service Guard clustering.)
