the self-service web page performance is bad in 11.5.10.2

Hi

I have a client they are currently using 11.5.10.2 on linux box, the performance over all is ok in the form core application, such as navigate form, run query and enter record.   However, the performance is very bad someting when they key in the  hr timecard or opening notification in the self-service webpage. I do not know what direction I need look at for the performance issue.  Please advise
