Data Access
The situation:
• We have created a sales role. About 550 users are associated to this role
• This role does NOT have access to all account and contact data (step 2 in the role setup wizard)
• Users associated to this Role therefore can ONLY see their own data and data belonging to their direct reports
• Users associated to this role DO NOT (and cannot) have access to all data in analytics (step 4 in the role setup wizard)
The problem:
• Users associated to this role need to be able to know if an account or a contact exists in CRM and if it does, to whom it belongs. Since they can only see their own data and that of their direct reports, there is no way for them to know if a contact or account exists opening up the possibility of data duplication.
