Size of RMAN backup files vs archive log files
Hi,
We are facing some unexpected scenario while recovering through archived logs and RMAN backup files.
Case-1) We did plan to take a backup on scheduled basis to a Windows desktop of the archived logs which were being generated in a linux database server. We took the backup of those archived logs in our Windows machine (Binary FTP) . But we observed the size of the archived log files changed. We trasported those archived log files back to another Linux system and tried to recover the database through those archived log files which failed (the error is coming due to the size is not same what is recorded in the control file). Can you please
