Payables Outbound Advice - R12 replacement

I'm trying to implement the EDI ADVO 824 messages to cofirm invoices that we receive via EDI INI 810.

However, in our R12.1.3 installation, the Payables Open Interface Outbound Advice concurrent program is not enabled.

The Oracle support site appears to state that this program is obslete in R12, but I can't find out what has replaced it.

If anyone knows, I would be very grateful to find out.
