Upgrade iterations and testing.

Hello All,
We are upgrading from 11.5.10.2 to R12.1.1 and then to R12.1.3. We have completed our first iteration and are  testing across various modules implemented. We have planned to do two more iterations before we go live.

My question is do i need to do the testing for each Iteration? It sounds like a very tedious process since we have over 10 modules implemented. Is there any way i can copy configurations / changes i made on my first iteration to second and then to  third one?

Also, which iteration among the three will be the best to perform UAT (user acceptance testing)?
