9310 LSM no longer recognizes tape labels after 9330 LMU Upgrades for TCP/IP connectivity & microcod

We upgraded our 9330 LMUs for conversion to TCP/IP communication from SNA (I know, late to the game).  This involved replacing a lower level processor card with an LBQ processor card, and installing an LMT networking card.  At the same time, the technician upgraded our 9330 LMU microcode as follows:

9330 LMU was at 1.9.26 functional, upgraded to 2.0.24 functional plus 2.0.03 dumpcode; then upgraded to 2.2.00 functional code.

9310 LSM is at 4.2.04 code, unchanged.

Following the upgrade, we are successfully communicating from our z/OS 1.11 system to the LMU, and have been able to do a virtual tape mount, but any mount that requires a physical tape gets an error reading the label.  We also get a label error trying to enter tapes.

Howdy, Stranger!
