Can Oracle Fixed Assets Do this ?

I have an asset

for example :

Present working Oracle Asset:

Asset catogory : building.design

Asset Life : 12yr 0 months

remaining life : 10yr 0 months

Asset Orginal cost : $120,000

Acc Depreciation : $20,000

Dep Method : STL

Net book Value : 100,000

Now my company has desided to extend the life of this asset to 16yrs and they want Oracle to not change the "NET BOOK VALUE". they want the current net book value to be depreciated further .

so they want $100,000 to be depreciated for further remaining life (16yrs - 2yrs = 14yrs)

but once I changed the life of this asset, Oracle is taking the Orginal Cost ($120,000) and dividing it into the life which is extended. i.e 120,000/16 = 7500/yr .

Howdy, Stranger!
