Creating a Physical Standby

Hi,  I am trying to create a physical standby database.  We copied all the rman datafile copies to  the standby server and cataloged the backup files using RMAN and control file.  Here is the log of the rman session.  This session just hangs for hours at the restore database command and I have had to kill it. I checked the v$rman_status and there are 0 bytes in all the fields.  Am I doing something wrong ?

Any help in this regard will be appreciated.
