Import ISOs and templates to OVM3 repository?

There must be an easier way than http to import files to OVM3 repository? I cannot imagine that one has to establish a web repository before being able to import...

I tried to do just a filesystem copy of ISOs to the ISO folder, but the copied files are not visible from the manager.
