need simple function for "first day of the week"

Hallo,

we have the Oracle Version 11.2.0.7 PSU7.

Ich have the problem that I need always the same value for "first day of the week" even if I work with territory america or germany. Exists any simple function for this, because I don't want to - sometimes I can't - change the territory with

"alter session set nls_territory = =??" In DB2-ZOS  exists  a function named "dayofweek_iso", but in oracle?
