Price List Deleted ?????

Has anyone heard of something like this before?  We import Sales Orders from Legacy systems and part of our import is to look for a cost price list.  Well at 11:00 this morning our import stopped working - everything errored.  Log file said could not find Price list ID.  In checking, our Cost price list was no longer there......just gone.  Is this a known issue or a fluke?  I know users cannot delete it.
