Company profile, “Sign In Page for UserID/Pwd Authentications” field usage

Has anyone used "Sign In Page for UserID/Pwd Authentications" field on Company profile page? We have a requiement to replace the login page with a html page which will have jump links for 1) CRMOD logon page 2) Single Sign On.

OR is there a way to change the CRMOD login page itself to add a jumplink for SSO (which will directly take them into the tool if they are on the company network)?
