Drop Ship Line not generating PO release when initial OE user is no longer set up as Employee

We have some orders with Drop Ship Items that were entered by user A and that user is no longer set up as an employee. When trying to progress the lines (id defined as Employee), we get error ' The Person who entered the order is not a valid employee' it is then followed by a User Define Exception in Package OE_Purchase_Release_PVT.
