Using modifiers to manually update pricing on sales orders

Version 12.06

User has requested to see if it is possible to manually change the unit price on a sales order.

·        They want to be able to override the unit price that is defaulted from the price list and enter a free form value.

·        They want to restrict this functionality to only  two Order Types.

 

From what I could find on Metalink and discussion boards, this functionality as requested is not available in 12.0.6:

 

From Oracle Support:

There is no solution available to fulfill your requirement.
To be able to manually override the price on a Sales Order line you
must have defined a manual modifier that qualifies for the Sales Order
