Relevance of XLA_GLT<GroupID> Tables

Hi,

I have the following queries with regards to the relevance of XLA_GLT<GroupID> table in R12.

1. Whether the table XLA_GLT<GroupId> has replaced the GL_INTERFACE table?

2. GL_INTERFACE table is existing in R12 and each time the create accouting is run a new group id is created and the data is getting stored in XLA_GLT<GroupID> table. Whetherthe GL_INTERFACE table has become redundant in R12. If no, under what scenarios GL_INTERFACE table will be populated?

3. What is the relevance of this table in the context that these tables are getting created on a real time basis?
