Oracle client installation

ins-13001 Environment does not meet minimum requirements

When installing oracle 11.2 client i get the following error when i launch the ./runInstaller

Is there anyway to find out wich requirement has not been met

if go check the logs i get the following message

a file or directory in the path name does not exixt

but i did create /u01/app and gave it the required permits

Does anyone knows how to solve it or is there any other log besides the ones located on the tmp where i can find out the exact requirement wich has not been met?
