Best practice to handle promotional items which are not included in Finished Goods.

Dear Team,

Could you please suggest me any best way to handle Promotional items which are not in Finished Goods.

For eg : Buy 1000 Switch, Get 1 gm gold free -- How to maintain gold  so that it can be tracked(stock, issue) and doesnt count in Fg stock. Also it can come in invoice
