Ship Confirm back orders even though sufficient qty exists

Hi,


when i run the ship confirm for the delivery lines it back orders when though I have qunatities available.. I checked the transaction form before running the ship confirm the next step was ship confirm. Now after running its says backordered and next step pick release.
