Changing customer type from Organization type to Person type

 We have some Customers which are set up as Organizations in Oracle 11i. Now the business wants to set them up as Customer Type Person. Because in Real world they are PERSON.

Also we are planning for an Upgrade based solution, moving our Oracle EBS from 11i to  R12.1.3, may be by end of this year.

In Oracle 11i there is no function which can help merging Party type Organization to Organisation customer. Because It does not exist.

In 11i I was successfully able to do Account Merge. We created a new party with the same Party name and did account merge from existing party to New Party. All the existing transaction were moved to the new party. But Oracle does not recommend to do it because we will have some bad data. Oracle would not be able to support us if there is any bug arises because of that.
