How to use Audit Trail Concept in service contracts module ?

Hi,

Came to know about Audit Trail Concept in EBS. We are planning to implement this in Service Contracts module R12.1.1.
     1. Will this cause performance overhead ?
     2. What tables can be added to attain maximum use of this concept in service contracts module?
     3. Are there any seeded reports using Audit Trail Concept?
