Why do Objects go Invalid all the time?

We have a number of Objects, mainly Views that always go invalid.

Why do they go invalid. One in particular stops the users being able to view data on a certain screen. We have to go into the background and recompile the view and then the users are ok.

Just trying to get a little understanding on what can cause this.
