Return to Vendor Transaction on Consigned Inventory that has been consumed

edited Apr 3, 2013 3:03AM in Inventory Management - EBS (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered
Consigned inventory that was damaged/defective needs to be returned to the supplier. However, consumption has already occurred as a result of a subinventory transfer from to consigned hold subinventory to hold subinventory; consumption advice has been created.

The Oracle  Consigned Inventory User Guide says that a Transfer to Consigned transaction cannot be done if consumption advice or consumption transactions have been generated. The user guide directs the user to perform the following steps to perform an RTV transaction:

  1. Create a miscellaneous issue out of the regular stock area
  2. Create a miscellaneous receipt into the consigned stock area
  3. Create a manual credit memo and match it to the appropriate consumption advice

Howdy, Stranger!
