Automate metric collection

The company would like to collect Agile metrics such as searching, sorting, etc. The reason is when we change systems or hardware they would like to know if it is improving Agile preformance. Today we collect these metrics manually. Is it possible to collect this data/metrics automatically. Our IT person indicated he would need a "command line interface" so he could "script" the information.
