Multiple Clearing Balancing Segment Values in intracompany relationships
Is it possible to handle the following intracompany/ intercompany requirements in Release 12
Entity 10 has direct relationship with entity 20 without the need for a clearing balancing segment value for balancing intracompany transactions
Entity 10 has an indirect relationship with entity 30 through a clearing balancing segment value X
Entity 10 has an indirect relationship with entity 40 through a clearing balancing segment value Y
Essentially we need to setup intracompany rules where some relationships do not need a clearing entity and some balance through different clearing entities.
From the research so far, it appears that intracompany rules can be differentiated only using different sources and categories. Within a source and category there appears to be no way to identify relationships that use clearing entities and relationships that do not. And also there appears to be only one entity that can be setup as a clearing entity. Since there are sub ledger involved, we cannot use the option to manually provide the clearing entity at the transaction time. And we cannot use Intercompany functionality since it does not allow clearing segment value functionality.
