Sync from CRMOD to MOD does it dedup ?

Hi, if we have a Global contact deduping rule setup on MOD when contacts are syncronised from CRMOD to Marketing On Demand over night are they deduped ?

from the description in the deduping rule its not clear,

"Contacts become part of your centralized data repository either through contact import, Webforms, tele-marketing call scripts or by manual entry. Duplicate contacts from these data sources can be avoided by configuring these Global Deduping Rules."

it sounds like its only contacts that are uploaded/imported in to MOD not sychronised from CRMOD.

can you please help.
