DAD driver and sql functions such as trim, sum

Hello Experts,

We installed the DAD to connect with BI Publisher, however when we tried to run some
reports that we had created using the DAS configuration we ran into parsing problems,
we managed to resolve alot of them, but the ones that remain are when we try to use
some SQL functions such as TRIM or SUM...

Are there limitations that would prevent us from using those ?

Also, the main reason we wanted to move from DAS to DAD was to be able to use the JDE
business unit security, but if we are limited with the functions wiht the DAD, is there
