E9 : Run Executable replacement for Web Client display of JPEG image in Application row exit call -

Background : In an Xe custom mod to P4101, a row exit was added to display an Item's image from a folder on the server. The pathcode is built up in the row exit's ER culminating in the Run Executable command being called.

Issue : In E9, this works fine with Windows Client but it doesn't work with Web Client, as E9 doesn't allow it. As E1: FDA: Run Executable System Function on the Web [ID 647533.1] states, there is a workaround - use a Text Block Control and create a text segment that contains HTML for a link to the file the users want to open. There is a BSFN B34A1030 which looked promising but it only works in batch mode.
