Marketing Budgets and GL Integration

I am seeing now with marketing and trade management combined together, we got pretty good integration regarding budgets to GL. With out OTM, does it just act as data entry fields and just sits there with in Marketing and no reconcilliation, no integration to GL.

And, this note: Integration Between Oracle Marketing And Oracle General Ledger [ID 374580.1] has some information but not explained clearly.
