Are any special setups needed to call the Custom Pricing Hooks for Internal Requisitions

I have recently found this new note on the Intercompany Issues section of the bulletin. We have a requirement to show the Interco Price from a Price list instead of sourcing orgs cost when the item is manually entered on an internal requisition. Is there any special setup that needs to be done to call the custom API’s or if we modifiy the API’s, the call will be made to the rules defined in the API when the req line is saved and there are no functional setups to be done if we have the patch recommended in the note.
