ADR block file read event

In my AWR report I noticed  ADR block file read/write  events which are not documented in the reference manual. ADR is the automatic diagnostic repository. I can see how the process can wait on writing the diagnostic information, but reads are confusing. Would someone explain those events a bit? They have no parameters, as described in V$EVENT_NAME.
