Products, child products and grand child product in a single page or in a summary page

 Hi,

Customer would like to find out a way to achieve the following requirements at their end:

1. Display the item price of the root product in the Summary tab

2. Display all the products in a flat structure rather than having to drill down in each product to check the child product prices. 

Need confirmation whether this requirement can be achieved through the following document.

Siebel Bookshelf 8.1.1> Siebel Product Administration Guide > Creating Custom Siebel Configurator User Interfaces > Tasks for Setting Up the Siebel Configurator HI User Interface > Setting Up the Grandchild Display of the HI Siebel Configurator User Interface

Tried it in vanilla but not able to get the root product related information. Not sure, if something is missing in my setup. Please provide your suggestion to proceed ahead on this.
