Orders are getting created in Siebel as well as through API. Linked Items are not getting proper val

Linked Item is configured without any Search spec and with Execute option as No. So that it gets the value from the current Order context.

This works fine for the Orders created in Siebel, but fails for API Orders.

If the Execute is set to true a searchspec is required. But if Search specification is not used, Linked Items do not work with Execute = TRUE. When we do not check on execute, Linked Item takes value from current order context and works fine.

Please let us know if API order requires different set up for Linked Items or is it an expected behaviour?
