The Siebel 8.1.1 Database upgrade and Siebel 8.1.1.5 software install

We are working on Siebel system upgrade from Siebel 7.7.2.12 to Siebel 8.1.1.5. We have download the Siebel software 8.1.1.0 base, and 8.1.1.5 patch. We want to know what is the order for upgrade Siebel 8.1.1. Should we have database upgrade on Siebel system server 8.1.1.0 base, then apply the 8.1.1.5 Patch, or apply server patch 8.1.1.5, then upgrade database? Thanks
