Are there any public APIs to ETAX that I can use from GL?

We need to enter many 1000s of manual journals into GL, most of them with Tax (VAT).

The current tax functionality in GL is very limited and we are considering building a custom journal entry form which can call ETAX via an API.

There is unfortunately no avoiding all these manual GL journals with tax, so we need a better solution.

Our tax is mainly derived using Account as the determining factor, so it would be great if we could build a custom form that could pass the determining factor values to ETAX (preferably via a public API) and then have the appropriate Tax Regime, Tax, Status, Jurisdiction and Tax Rate etc. returned.
