IPMIeVD service not running Windows 2003 server X4140

Windows 2003 server IPMIevd service not running due to BMC log full.  We have to clear the BMC log to get IPMIeVD service to run.  I noticed on reboot that there was a message in POST like this:  "BMC Not Responding".  Looking at the IPMI 2.0 Configuration showed that the BMC log was empty.  Upon reboot, I noticed that the BMC was responding and that the BMC System Event Log was full (750 entries).  We are currently at this version for SP and BIOS:  LOM 2.0.2.16
BIOS vers. 0ABMN052.  We have found that clearing the BMC System Event Log allows us to successfully start the IPMIeVD service.
