API or R12.1.3 functionality to FINALLY close Purchase Orders and Requisitions

Hi,

Will someone please veirfy the following for me:

In R12 you can mass close purhase orders, but you still have to manually FINALLY closing purchase orders and Requisitions?

You can only purge finally closed transactions.

If the above is true, how are we meant to finally close purchase orders and requisitions other than doing this manually??  Is Oracle looking at this as an enhancement request?
