Variable Expr in Conditinal Formatting

How can help me?

In a standard table I would like to use conditional formattiing and color every line read where the portential close date is in the past. To do this I need to use, I think, a valiable Expr.

What variable expr do I need to use to select all Less than today. I tried CURRENt_DATE but that one was not working.
