Requisitions & DRP

We are currently on JDE 8.0.  We use DRP to create message to then process PO's.  We have a process request that wants to go from DRP to RQ to OP.  Has anyone used RQ's in this manner?  What changes need to be made to generate an RQ rather than an OP?
